User and Community Owned Patient Records
The SOS telemedicine project is community owned, and in the process of setting up the governance structure for this through a People's Foundation
There are a range of very complex challenges associated with achieving one interoperable infrastructure for sharing patient data across centres.
One alternative that would address some of the particular challenges in this context is to consider a more bottom up, community centred infrastructure that alllows sharing of data as and when required. This would also be more in line with the requirements and the constraints of the project on the ground.
